KotDurbar

Dubung has 607 households and total population of 3257, out of which 1486 are male and 1789 are female. Magar, chhetri, Brahmin, Thakuri and Dalits are someethnic groups living in this community.According to the locals, Du refers to insects and Bung refers to fly. Large number of insects fly during the evening at Dubung Stadium therefore the place is named Dubung.

Dubung is culturally rich for Magar Tradition and Magar dance, Kauraha. Akaladevi temple, Malika Temple, Bhaluthumki Pahad are some traditional and natural tourist sites. Nawalpur, Chitwan, Palpa, Syangja, Gorkha, Lamjung and Mountain ranges of Annapurna, Machapuchre and Dhaulagiri can be viewed from Bhaluthumki Pahad.

Maize, Millet and vegetables are main crops grown in Dubung. Orange is grown abundance in Dubung compared to other wards of Rishing Rural Municipality. Orange is cultivated commercially are Mouribas, Archaldi and Rijaldi of Dubung. Bee-keeping, goat rearing and poultry farming is done at Najing tole of Dubung.
