Ward number 1, 2, 3,4,5,6, 7 and 8 of former Rishing Ranipokhari VDC collectively formed Present ward 8, Paltynag. There are 508 households and a total population of 2,475 (10498 male and 1426 female) according to the National Census, 2068. Magar, Brahmins, Chhetri, Gurung, Gurung Newar and Dalits are inhabitants of ward number 8.
Kotdada, Gadidada, Ranipokhari, Ajambari Pond are historically, religious and natural sites at Paltyang. Huge number of people visit Ajambari temple on Krishnastami and Teej. Ajambari pond near Ajambari temple is another main attraction, where the water level never changes. Nawalpur, Chitwan, Palpa, Syangja, Gorkha, Lamjung, basins of Seti and Kaligandaki River and Mountain ranges viewed from Gadidada.
Paddy, maize, millets,black lentils, ginger and vegetables are grown in Paltyang . People also rear cattle, pig and hen for living.
Paltyang has potential for tourism and agricultural development. Social recognition, training, technical facilities, donations, collection centre, storage, processing, market could help in motivation for youth in joining agriculture. Youths can be directly benefitted by tourism development and establishment of home stay.
