Jhaaputar

Ward number 1, 2,3, and 8 off former KahuShivapur VDC collectively formed ward number 1, Jhaputaar. According to the national census, there are 744 households and the total population of the ward is 4,075 with 1810 male and 2265 female. Jhaputar is densely populated among all the wards. Magar, Chhetri, Newar, Brahmin, Gurung, Dalits are the inhabitants of the wards.

Main crops found in these regions are paddy, maize, black lentils, and vegetables. Koidim is well known for growing seasonal vegetables such as Cauliflower, Tomatoes, Mushroom, potatoes, garlic, ginger and onions.

Opprotunities in Jhaaputar

Agriculture is the main source of livelihood for most of the people in the ward. There is a strong possibility of commercial vegetable cultivation here. With good management of irrigation, this ward can become a pocket area for vegetable farming. Due to the large amount of red clay and timber in the ward, there is a possibility of opening a construction based enterprise i.e brick kiln and creating employment opportunities.
