Ward number 1, 2, 3,4,5,6 and 7 of former Ramjhakot VDC were combined to form present ward number 5 of Ramjhakot. As per the National Census 2068, the ward consists of 748 households and 3823 total population (1,667 male and 2156 female). Magar, Brahmin, Chhetri, Darai, Botey, Kumal, Majhi, Sanyasi and Dalits are some major caste groups living in Ramjhakot.
Gadgadi Gargeshwor Mahadev, Saraswati Mandir, Shring Gufa are some natural and religious sites in Ramjhakot.
Agriculture and Animal husbandry are the main source of income. Paddy, Maize, Millet, Ginger, Banana, Wheat, Soybeans and black lentils are main cash crops. Beside agriculture, goat rearing is also done here.
Ramjhakot has fertile land suitable for agriculture, towards the south of wards, lies Pipaltar and Rupatar, with fertile soil. Provided good irrigation, there is potential of farming. Establishment of collection centre, grading, labeling and packaging could help farmers yield good income. Providing training and technical knowledge for goat farming would boost the potential of the farmers.
